Infor, a leading provider of software applications for the midmarket has announced that the company has acquired a high-profile executive. The new appointee is Charles Phillips, the former co-president of Oracle. Outgoing CEO Jim Schaper, the man who steered Infor for the last 8 years believes that Phillips is the one who can lead the company in the coming years. Schaper mentioned in a global call conference with Infor employees that he had been looking for a successor since June of 2010. He led the charge when Oracle went on an acquisition spree, gaining high-profile accounts in the process. The executive just left the company in September of last year. And when Schaper received news about the resignation of Charles Phillips Infor quickly made its move.
